Yoga classes conducted by Corina Petrescu. NEW: Online Yoga Classes via Zoom
Corina Petrescu is originally from Romania. Corina fell in love with this beautiful, refined yoga practice and loves the daily discipline, precision, control and dedication it entails. Corina is also a Chemical Engineer, being the holder of a diploma of Chemical Engineer of the Polytechnic Faculty of Bucharest.
Corina also holds certificates of competence as a Massage Therapist, then a Massage Therapist and Fascia Massage.
Corina’s yogic journey began in Bucharest somewhere in 2015, with the first Hatha yoga classes followed bt the TTC classes at Yoga Academy (RYT 200) under the guidance of Mukesh Kothari and Erica Nagy.
The journey followed with other forms of yoga, YogaJi Vienna, under the guidance of Julie Giacomini, the founder of the Children’s Yoga Federation of France, thus becoming an accredited instructor of yoga for children (YACEP).
However, it was only after 19 years of working in the HR department of a big corporation that it was time to travel to learn these traditional Ashtanga yoga practices right from India. Ashtanga courses have become the closest practice to her heart and soul.
Corina discovered that Ashtanga Yoga is a spiritual practice open to all, in the absence of competitiveness and comparison. Corina practiced in India under the guidance of David Robson and Jelena Vesic and occasionally with Laruga Glaser and Kino MacGregor and currently practices under the guidance of Kalyan Kaur.
Corina is currently also part of the Imunis team, as an Ashtanga Yoga instructor for beginners and Yin Yoga for people after diagnosis, breast lymph node removal surgery or who have been diagnosed with Lymphedema in the upper limbs.
Corina loves Ashtanga yoga, which she practices 6 days a week. She considers it an honor, privilege and sacred responsibility to share this practice, because it was passed on to her not only in terms of asana, but also in terms of other branches of yoga.
